Stakeholder Meeting Report Submission

Our school’s academic performance and standing as determined by measures adopted by the West Virginia Board of Education (WVBE) drives our work as the LSIC. Per Policy 2322, these may include, but are not limited to parent and community involvement, the learning environment, student engagement, attendance, behaviors, supports for at-risk students, curricular offerings, resources, and the capacity for school improvement.

Type the detailed information from your meeting minutes that fulfills this requirement in the box below. Include all concerns, suggestions, and points raised during the meeting. This will be your school’s submission.

1)     LSIC Training Video

2)     Review benchmark data for iReady, GSA, and Acadience for 24-25 end of year

3)     Attendance statics and support plan

4)     PBIS program and discipline data from 24-25

5)     STEM Cart grant and expectations for teachers

6)     Lunch Buddies was reviewed.  We have a partnership with KHS for Jr. and Seniors to meet with chronic absence students once a month to build mentor relationships.

7)     School Safety: We discussed the follow up from April’s LSIC presentation.  (Safety Barriers are needed to separate the parking lot from the playground.)  Currently the safety Coor. is does not have a funding source for the project. Stacey Boggs volunteered to investigate community resources.

8)     The committee discussed the need to spruce up our rock bed areas.  We need new weed barriers, additional rocks, and new shrubs to replace the dead ones.  Mrs. Boggs also volunteered to investigate this project.

9)     Mrs. Boggs also suggested that we could look into applying for grant monies from the Community Trust Foundation for Professional Development, tutoring funds, or STEM projects for the students.
